Transmission Gratings

Spectrum Scientific offers a range of UV-VIS transmission gratings. These transmission gratings are ideally suited for compact spectrograph designs utilizing small area array detectors.

Transmission gratings offer high efficiency and are generally easier to align than reflection gratings. To produce high efficiency, a transmission grating usually requires a deep groove profile.

Advantages of Transmission Gratings:

• Generally high throughput and efficiency
• Alignment not so critical
• Relatively polarization insensitive

SSI transmission gratings are available with or without AR coatings.
